Where online do you read music news?

Hi BKP'ers

I'd really love to know where all of you go online for music news / band and tour related information.

I can't manage without reading http://www.bravewords.com and Metal Sludge at least once a week but these are more Metal rather than Classic Rock and I'd like to keep in touch with the full spectrum.

There must be other great sites that I should be checking out.

Any recommendations are much appreciated.

BraveWords has tons of stuff every day, though quite a lot of my info comes from other forums.

My friend Gurb's site Total Guitar should have plenty of decent guitar related news soon, he's still in the middle of developing the site though so news isn't updated as frequently now as it will be.

I wait until someone tells me at school because I'm boring like that. As much as I love them, I don't need to read when CoF get a new bassist, or whatever the hell they call "news" in music :P

But Dave, I think you're 30 years too late for the "Classic Rock News", it's more Classic Rock Olds tbh :P

I always skim through the headlines on billboard.com just to keep an eye on general trends in the "industry", regardless of genre.

And, because I'm noodling hippy at heart ;) I always skim through the likes of http://www.jambands.com/ and http://www.jambase.com/. Likewise, digging world music, I skim the headlines at http://www.songlines.co.uk/, too.

Otherwise, I just subscribe myself to the occasional band email news list, and Gov't Mule (or whoever) will write to let me know when there're new tour dates or downloadable shows available :)

Hey, another world music fan! I've got a subscription to Songlines and it's great - the CD you get with each issue is a real eye-opener (or should that be ear-opener?).

Being a big fan of the much-maligned genre of (whisper it) progressive rock, I find the Dutch Progressive Rock Pages indispensable: http://dprp.net. These guys work really hard on their site and it shows.
