Check this thread out: Itīs my new Custom made KKV thatīs gonna have a Miracle Man in the bridge:

http://www.nordpolenexpress.se/musikpolen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=512

Itīs a swedish luthier named Jonas Fagerlund www.fagerlund.biz
Heīs done some amazing guitars even though heīs pretty fresh when it comes to building guitars.

Specs are:
Maple neck thru
Alder body
Abony fretboard
Miracle Man
Sustainiac
25 jumbo frets
EMG PA-2
Kahler 2320

Thats pretty good, and he's laminated 3 bits of maple for the neck, good for strength. I'm doing the same on my hobby jobby I'm making, though I have mahogany in there too for decoration.  :D

Dont like the BC Rick style headstock, or the fact he hasnt glued an angled headstock, but what ever floats your boat.

I've got a loverly bit of mahogany for the headstock of mine, and enough for the body end of the neck too.  :P  I also bought some iroko and maple for the fretboard but havent decided which to use... and then I also have cherry I could use as well, lol! Decisions, eh, must be worse if you're paying someone else to do it

Anyone remember these 29 and 36 fret Washburn Stephen's cutaway guitars from the 80s?

I've thought about getting a 27 fret guitar and tune down to c#, but then thought it too much trouble :)

Iīm a BC Rich and Kerry King fan so the headstock comes naturally for me.
I donīt got any problems with decisions anymore cause I know what I want, maple neck thru, ebony fretboard dual humbuckers. This guitar is the first that isnīt with maple body, it got alder. Itīs my first with Bare Knuckle Picks Ups and not EMG 81/81. itīs my first with Kahler 2320, had one with 2315 before (BC Rich KKV).
I think this on will turn out really nice. He knows what heīs doing.

Yah.. a guy here has one of those washburns
but his model is 33 or 32 frets and just one humbucker on the bridge.
it gets placed right i nthe middle and the neck is just like the pic you posted.

TO ME, a 22 baritone scale is enough.
but i also enjoy some dive bombs in a 24 frets scale.

I love King's axemanship. Possibly Slayer are the only band I ever liked for Thrash. Metallica were alright, but I prefered them from the black album onwards.  8)

Yeah it does look like he knows his business, good luck to the both of ya, I envy you.  :D

I canīt really tell what price it is but heīs cheap. Thatīs for sure.
Iīve talked to some of the people who bought guitars from him and they are more than pleased.

I donīt use fret 25 but I sure do use fret 24. Iīm a metalhead!
The reason for fret 25 is Iīm able to reach fret 20-24 easier. Fret 25 is placed were fret 24 should be. Thatīs one of 2 reasons. The other is... why not?  8)

My next customīs gonna have baritone and 25 frets. I find it pretty hard to find my way around the neck on my 7-string. I donīt play it that often cause I donīt keep that guitar at home so I just play it once a week at rehearsal, one song.

Thanx dude!
Slayer is the shitee! Been a big fan since 92 when I saw Seasons In the Abyss on Headbangerīs Ball.
This thing me ordering custom made KKVs started out in 94 when Divine came out when Kerry King had his old ESP KKV. I wanted a guitar just like his and went to a store and told them that. They just looked at me like I was kidding. "Itīs a custom made ESP, it costs atleast 30.000 SEK!"
"WHAT?"
I pretty soon understod that I ainīt gonna own an ESP KKV so... I started ordering custom mad KKVs instead. I gonna get a replica of his ESP KKV later this week. Order from Ran Guitars. Itīs the closet to the real deal Iīll ever get.

That statement makes no sense whatsoever. The 24th fret is obviously where the 24th fret should be or else your guitar won't work
As I stated a few posts back, if the scale length is the same then the number of frets has no effect whatsoever on fret access. The extra fret extends over the body, it doesn't somehow push the neck forwards.

Maybe Youīre right. I just like it this way and my guitars will have 25 frets in the future too. Why settle with 24 when You can have 25?  :D
So this is a like "cause I can" kinda thing.

Turbo, I went to see Slayer on their 1992(ish) tour. Unreal gig. The only gigs with similar blow the pants off sound I have been too were, Motorhead and Prong.

I wonder what happened to Prong?

I love the Johan Inglar model...I wonder if it's really expensive....now where is my credit card.
