I've not played the JB, and have no idea whether it's suitable, but I'm gonna tell you about the Holy Diver anyways - I got mine into my strat the other day and oh my god!

I think it (HD) would be suitable for people playing anything remotely rock or metal like, and they do a beautiful clean sound as well. I was surprised how well they handle the heavier end of the spectrum as I was expecting it to be a more rocky sort of pickup.

It does have a quite pronounced midrange, so if you like that sort of thing then yeah :)

Love to hear some sound clips of the HD!

Yeah, I noticed a lack of them in the players section...First thing on the list is getting the amp revalved. Then I've gotta pay the deposit on my custom. And after that I'm gonna get me some recording gear, and then I can get some clips up :)

Tim once did mention that the Cold Sweats were similar to a Duncan Custom only more articulate and better bass response. Plus it uses a bigger magnet so it even drives a little harder even though it's more articulate.
.

+ 1.

Seems to be some good points.
I've used an approx 24 year old Duncan Custom in my '70 LPC forever, and I though I would never replace this old Duncan, which sounded real good. Yep, IMO there is a difference between "that" old Duncan Custom  and the ones that are manufactured today...but another story.
I found the Cold Sweat to be even better vs this old D.Custom. The C.S. is fatter and have a much better top end bite, without beeing harsh and brittle. I would say the D.Custom sounds a bit "hairy and metallic" vs the BKP C.S.
So, my old Duncan just had to go. I will keep it for the rest of my life, just because it's been "the" pick up for so many years. Kinda nostalgic collection piece or something.
