The End Of Velvet Revolver?

Did anyone see Slash's live solo during 'Fall to Pieces' at Download? It was toe curling  :P. Shame 'cause the album version has a good solo. Great song too. I'm still not decided on Velvet Revolver (have their debut album and it's OK) but it would be a shame if they split.

Yeah they were good at Live 8, Slash played a lot better  :D . To be honest though, I think they were a bit out of place. They should have done the one in America IMO.

Hmmm, I must admit I was disappointed with the guitar work at Live8-Slash really seemed to struggle to find his pace-it all came together for Slither though.
The problem with fast turnaround festivals is something has to give and often the onstage sound suffers...........that's all I can assume as Slash was missing all his bends........and not in a good way. The TV mix didn't help either as the lead was right out in the mix so it stood out like a sore thumb.
My god what a great drummer Matt Sorum is though.........couldn't help thinking that without him it'd have fallen apart...........the man's solid as a rock and really lays down a great groove. Certainly didn't seem to be any ill feeling between him and Weiland. The band were interviewed after the show and Weiland/Sorum stuck together, did the talking and seemed very friendly towards each other.

My brother-in-law was in the crowd at Hyde Park so it'll be interesting to see what it was like 'from the ground'.

yeah live 8 didnt show any bad feeling between the band - this was the best bit, VR were the one band my mum said she couldnt stand! i was like "why, they are rock n roll" and she was like, "the singer takes his shirt off and shows us that weedy body, and dont get me started on the hairy guy with the fag" lol!

Sorry to be a party pooper, but I thought they were cr@p on Live8. Scott, by that evidence, should ditch the hat and get a voice. To my ears they were disjointed as if they were all playing only for themselves. They had the full on metal attitude but little else. Very disappointing.
Just 'cos you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you

I agree they didn't took off very well in the beginning. Slither sounded great to me. Compared to some of the other bands, like the Killers, Razorlight and the likes, they rocked.

yeah, agreed, the january tour was amazing, the live 8 show seemed to be lacking a little!

FWIW, my two penn'orth, is that they should get rid of Scott Weiland. The music's as tight as a gnat's chuff, but the vocals are the biggest weakness they have.

Is it me, or has anyone else noticed the Slash "stick your guitar on your thigh in an upright position, fag in gob" solo pose?

Dave Kushner's somewhat underrated IMO.

I was well impressed with the Piezo acoustic tone that Mr Hudson had from one of his LP Classic's.
