« on: August 11, 2006, 07:27:50 PM »
hey all

been working on a song these past few days, thought i would show you guys.

I'm using a Gibson Les Paul standard with BK miracle man fitted at both the bridge and neck positions.

Hope you enjoy it!

Cool track my friend! I like the way the riff is accompanied by another guitar playing a second riff, it works really well. Tasty solos and great tone as well.
Mule,Trilogy,Irish Tours,Holy Diver and Apaches.

Nice song. Cool melodic riffing.
From a production point of view (even if it probably isn't very produced yet :)) you could maybe pan the guitars a little. They're clashing a little in the middle and the solo especially gets swallowed. Just a thought :D

Hi this is a great track,

I like the sound of the p/ups.

I personally use a Mule in the bridge and a BKP90 in the neck, a killer combo!

It's a really nice phat tone you got there! but like one guy said, the mix is suffering a tad.

Try putting less compression on the drums as it seems to drown in parts. The rythm guitar also has too much compression, but the lead guitar seems fine except it's slightly too quiet. I hope this advice doesnt patronise you but I've had a lot of experience, keep playin and best of luck mate!  8)

:D Nice Track Matey !!  :D

Love the drum sound. It sounds very natural what were you using ?

Don`t worry about the production it`ll come with practice. Experiment a little & then have a break from it. Come back to it fresh & then have a listen & see which one sounds better & go from there.

One tip i will give to `ya was passed onto me by Tim himself. Don`t pan the guitars Hard Left or Right. turn them to 9-10 o`clock position on the Left & 2-3 o`clock position on the Right. This helps seperate the 2 guitars but keeps a bigger fatter Tone with it. Try it & see how you get on.

 :D  8)
God I could do with a Gin & Tonic !

That sounds pretty damn nice, everyone always has nice Miracle Man clips and it always makes me unsure as to which pickup to get because i keep changing my mind!
