Problem with Out of Phase pickups
« on: August 19, 2006, 10:09:36 PM »
I have a VHII and two irish tours.

The Middle pickup is not rw/rp.. thus i've had to swap the red and black wires on the VHII so the red is to the selector switch.. this has made position 2 sound fine no out of phase.

but between the neck and middle position 4, it's out of phase.

Is there a way to wire this up so i can have it without the phase problem?

If its not out of phase with bridge and middle, but is with middle and neck then try reversing the wires on the neck pickup.

I would wire the two single coils in phase and toy with the bridge humbucker to get pos.2 in phase.

swapping the wire of the neck pickup has worked fine.

Thankyou for your help.
