Please listen to these 2 clips!!! Pickups tone thoughts.

These are 2 clips of 2 LPs I have. I thought one was dark sounding so I made them both standard tuning.  Anyway both are LPs. Can you give me your opinion about which pickup you like best and then I will ask a few questions to hopefully narrow what BKP is right me. Playing is nothing special just doing  basic riffs so you can hear differences.

Which do you think is brighter?
More organic toneful?
Ballsier?
Best for ACDC type tone
Best for BLS tone
Overall thoughts?

Best for ACDC type tone - Black

Overall thoughts? - Er, you might want to fix the links to the MP3s.

On the black clip there is a clicking sound, sort of like a metal pick striking a glass bottle. This bothered me. Also the white tone seemed a little more complex than the black, like the difference between playing an LP Special vs an LP Standard.

I prefer white.

Now, what's this experiment about?

Well the black one is EMG and white is JB. I just put JB into the LP and liked it in an organic sense and after hearing people opinions here I thought I would try a JB to see what I thought.

I borrowed my friends Studio with a JB and dug it but after putting in mine I liked it but..... the lacking low end definition got to me. But I did like the organic tone also.

In place of the EMGs I am getting CS thats a done deal. But in place of the JB I am thinking RY or SD Custom Custom?

The Rebell Yell neck is the same as the CS, the bridge RY started from a project of modifiying a Nailbomb(as I understand), that SS was using on his LP, until he got the sound that he wanted(good for us). So my guest is set of calibrated RYs. Anyway check around on the forum to make sure.

I thought the black sounded better out of those two, although clearer a bit too harsh at times but the bottom end sounded much better on the black, but the highs were too much.

The white sounded muddy. the black sounded too harsh.. go figure.

James you hit it right on the head. That is why I am going for CS in place of the pups in the black LP. And thinking of going for RY in place of the JB. Just hope the RY has balls power similar to JB
