please, still trying to decide between the rebel yell and nailbombs for my OLP musicman, and this'll probably sway my decision

Thing is, it would rather be the fuzz that makes the difference than the pickup, wouldn't it?

I would have thought so as it's such an extreme effect.

im thinking matt bellamy in New Born, so fairly heavy, fairly crunchy fuzz if possible :D

Well have a look into what he was using then to record new born and see what the lads say to what's the nearest BK pup!

i know what he was using, but i don't want his exact sound, i want to get some pickups which can do a certain tone, which i thought was defs the nailbombs, til i heard the other Rebel Yell clips and now i'm not so sure, so by hearing how the Rebel Yell sounds with fuzz will make my mind up

Rebels are not THAT hot if this is what you're looking for. They don't seem much hotter to me than the BlackDogs, especially at the Neck (although they probably are - value wise).

Mine (RY's) are on a shelf awaiting their new home. My old fuzz box needs repairing, a 1970's EH' little big muff, which is insane. :twisted: Can't help for now CJ dude.

Didnt he have the Kent Armstrong Motherbucker and SD hot p90 fitted to hes guitars back then. So I would suggest getting a pickup hotter then a Nailbomb Maybe Miracle Man Ive heard Bellemy is using them as well now.
