So whats better; a Diezel VH4 or the Uberschall? For playing metal that is.
Diezel Herbert
LMAO
When I tried the VH4, the guy who imports them into this country (BlackMachine) reckoned that the Herbert was better for modern metal than the VH4.
I must admit that the VH4 was one hell of an amp, it can go from clean to insane gain much like the Uberschall BUT I'd say the VH4 is more versatile because of the footswitchable 4-channels and midi-programming.
OTOH, the VH4 will set you back around £2400 whereas the Uberschall is a 'measley' £1899.
For my needs I don't NEED four channels - technique and the volume knob are used to create various tones. You can always adjust the gain level between songs too, it's allowed (heh).
If I had to choose, I'd go for the Uberschall. If I sell my '67 SG jr I may well get myself an Uber, they're THAT good even at shop levels.
