Piece of Mind, Powerslave, Somewhere in Time, & Fear of the Dark

Finally got round to buying them on CD.  I used to own them all on vinyl, but haven't listened to them since my record player broke in 2003.

Goddam, Somewhere in Time is a good album.  I'd forgotten just how good - possibly my favourite "golden era" Maiden album....
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)

Was that intentinally skipping Seventh Son... and No Prayer For The Dying, or just by chance?

I've never been that fond of Somewhere, for no particular reason.  I really like Seventh Son..., but they were getting very proggy by that stage.  I think Janick brought some new energy back into the band, but he never seems to get much credit for it.

They're as good as they've ever been right now, with all 3 guitarists!  :)
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Just by chance - I bought those four first because I always liked them best.  Haven't got round to buying Seventh Son, Live After Death, Number of the Beast & Killers yet, but will do soon.

I probably won't buy No Prayer for the Dying because I never liked it (unless the collector mentality kicks in... :))

It will, I'm sure!

I carried on buying Aerosmith albums, for example, long after they went shitee (haven't bothered with the last few though... enough is enough).
