Sikth!

Found 'em through this forum, and I've been listening to their 2 albums non-stop for the past few weeks. Amazing stuff! Learning Bland Street Bloom on the guitar as we speak :)

John Sykes - Nuclear Cowboy
Kings X - Ogre Tones
Europe - Secret Society

Old School?

I still think of King's X as modernists, which I guess goes to show just how old I am.  Great band.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Worse than that, he's actually 57!

He's in better shape than I am at 43 though.  :(

Love the band hate the singers.
I do really think their work has real merit though; for example I think that Bland Street Bloom and Peepshow are really good (they are, however, the only songs I know where the vocalists have a go at singing and not screaming)
I too use chicken as a measurement.

Any idea what they've been replaced with?

I do think that they are good at what they do but I just wish they would reign it in a bit as it's not the best they are capable of IMO.

I've had a re-listen to 01011001 and it's getting better.

Perhaps I should give Fear of a Blank Planet another run as I hated that album on my first listen and have not given it another listen really.

Could be a bit like The Mars Volta as I hated them first 10 or so times I heard them and now Deloused in the Comatorium is now one of my favourite albums.

I've become totally obsessed with Wishbone Ash (about 30 years too late, I know   ).  That's all I'm listening to at the moment.
