Iron Maiden - Flight 666 (live album)

awesome album and awesome tour! I can't wait for their new studio album later this year!

sure, great live, but their last studio effort killed every expectation i could still have...
such a shame - brave new world was an awesome album!

Yeah, agreed the last album was disappointing - I love Brave New World and Dance Of Death, and they got me back into all the older stuff.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

uhm... i forgot about the OTHER new album (ooops... i haven't yet managed to listen to it), i meant dance of death... it was really disappointing after BNW, at least in my opinion.

  Ah, OK.... if you found Dance Of Death disappointing, you may be tearing your hair out over A Matter of Life and Death.  Or maybe not, perhaps it's just me.  :P  Brave New World is certainly my favourite of the three.

I have had a bit of a depressing weekend and therefore listened to music that makes me feel safe: The Beatles Abbey Road & Sgt Pepper and I feel better as a result.
Send three and fourpence we're going to a dance
BKP's: Apache, Country Boy, Slowhands.

I actually thought A Matter Of Life And Death wasn't bad, certainly far from their greatest, but I thought it wasn't bad. However, I did love Brave New World and Dance of Death, and seeing as they have had 4 years since their last album and they just did a tour playing all the old stuff (which was awesome!) they might find the inspiration to make another great album, which from what I'm reading is rumoured to be their last.

i heard it too...
better to put an end to things when you're still great than to become "that band of old guys that my daddy used to love when he was my age"... i don't know if classic IM sound will have too much of a future in the modern rock/metal scene.
don't get me wrong, i'm a massive fan and with my bassist we've got mandatory "iron maiden moments" in the middle of rehearsals... :)

Plus if they stop touring, we'll get a break from all the appalling package deal bands they bring with them to festivals across the world.

Lauren Harris, away you go.

She supported Iron Maiden?  :?

Oh no, hang on, Harris.... it's 'Arry's daughter, isn't it?

That child is a scary mix of the killer from 'Dirty Harry' - and Mick Hucknall. Could it be any worse ?

Brilliant mate !

I'm glad the Lady still has so strong a gift ; in her case no doubt getting better as the years pass.  Do tell which live album it is ; also do I assume correctly that the 'other' Tim Mills collaboration is the 'Circles' album ?

I must confess to being out of touch with Elkie and her work for some years ;  it is nice to hear that one of the B.K.P family actually seeks out that sort of 'class act'.   Are you sure you didn't just go because Metallica had sold out ?

A lot of The Who live mastertracks as mogg files in audacity.
Why didn't I discover this sooner???
This is the greatest thing for backing tracks ever.

Joanne Shaw Taylor - White Sugar

A friend recommended this album to me and so far I am really liking it. A good blues artist and a great guitar player!
