Working from home today and currently have Southern Rock Opera - Drive By Truckers on. It's pretty good. Nice basic, honest pub rock.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Lightnin Hopkins and the Thirteenth Floor Elevators - Free Form Patterns as well as Hopkin's Goldstar and Herald sessions.  Awesome - the source of more blues cliches than you've had hot dinners....

Deathspell Omega - Paracletus
DO is like the opposite of Behemoth for me, I like the earlier Behemoth stuff better, but DO just constantly get better and better over time.

I've been listening to Slash's live album, Made in Stoke.  it's strangely unexciting.  it's actually all a bit too well done, too slick.  Slash's guitar tone is very smooth, almost artificial sounding, and there's a very odd lack of passion.  it doesn't help that i really don't like Myles Kennedy's voice.  yes, he can hit all the high notes, but not with any personality or passion.  he's a bit like having a vocal keyboard!  all makes me a little worried about the upcoming studio album.

cry HAVOC!! and let slip the pigs of war!!!

A Lot of Al Green recently, Howlin Wolf, and Six Organs of Admittance has been getting a lot of play recently.

Great song, one of his finest. He has many that fit the "one of his finest" desctiption IMO.

I think the phase I am going thorugh is becasue I am currently reading "Lowside of the Road". Very good book although he had no involvement in it due to his beliefs in privacy.

I'm trying to keep my listening in line with the chapters and am now on Franks Wild Years - last few chapters were about Swordfishtrombones and Rain Dogs. Classic stuff indeed.

Tom Waits is a genius, no dice.

Right now I'm listening to Patton Oswalt's "222" album. $%&#in' hilarious!

I'm on a bit of a Clutch binge at the minute. Saw them live on monday as they were supporting "Thin Lizzy" (not really thin lizzy as I think scott gorham was the only original member) and thats got me right back into them! Currently on the first self titled album. Still not sure why I never used to like Clutch!
