I think this is the best example I can think of right now - Q and Not U - Washington Monument

Queen and Queen II

I'm watching the Days of Our Lives documentary (again). Such a good documentary. I recommend anyone who is even remotely in to Queen give it a viewing. It's on the iPlayer currently.
I think I hate being indecisive.

That was alright - it reminded me a bit of Sunny Day Real Estate, without actually sounding massively similar!

I just bought the new expanded Anniversary edition of Fleetwood Mac's Rumours and, since they were cheap, I got the remasters of Fleetwood Mac and Tusk at the same time.  I'm not really a big fan, but there are some classic songs on there.

I do seem to be buying more - what should I call it? - middle of the road, less rocky music at the moment.  It's not that my tastes have changed, I think I'm just interested in exploring all that stuff, mostly from the '70s, that I saw in record shops (remember them?) for many years but never actually heard.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Heard this band called Surfer Blood on the radio the other night, really like this song. Quite Pixies and Weezer inspired.

The rest of them don't seem to match up though.

WIll give that a listen later - I like Weezer and love Pixies. Incidentally I have been listening to Surfer Rosa and Come on Pilgrim this morning. Some cracking stuff on there.

Sunny Day Real Estate... isn't that the band Will and Nate from the Foo Fighters came from?

Yep.  And both went back, at different times I think.  Really good band.

It would be bad to mention that I have two Guyton guitars at home wouldn't it ;-)

You can't just say that and not show us pictures (even though this is, I admit, the wrong thread for it....!)

I've been getting into George van Eps recently, the guy practically invented fingerstyle jazz guitar and very few people have really taken it past where he left off.

This is him playing a tune called Lap Piano on one of the earliest 7 string electrics.

It wasn't a mistake, it was chromaticism, I swear.
