a variety of The Smiths albums. Still not sold on Morrisey's mopey voice but there are some awesome basslines that I must learn!

A lot of Black Keys. My lad is starting to get into them which is going towards cancelling out the shitee that my sister-in-law has got him in to.

Also managed to get my old mans stereo off of him, so I've been listening to a bit more music than usual, speaking of which has anyone got a small active sub for sale?
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

I can't stop listening to La Futura, the new ZZ Top record, it's bloody brilliant and certainly my favourite of theirs for a long time. Really dirty, earthy boogie music. Highly recommended.

Metallica - St Anger. I thought I'd give it a re-listen. I have to say it's not actually as bad as I thought it was at the time. There are some good songs such as Sweet Amber, and the guitar tones are pretty good. I actually think it's a much better album than Death Magnetic. Apart from Lars' bin lid snare.

Minutemen - Double Nickels on the Dime.

I'd never heard of them before today. I picked up an uncut magazine from 6 years ago that had a review of the re-release of this album. It's great! Some of the vocals are a bit dodgy though.

Gary Moore, Blues For Jimi.  it's Gary doing covers of Hendrix songs (that's the Hollywood explanation bit, for anyone that didn't get it from the name :)  )

it's pretty good, some great strat tones.  but, as was Gary's way, he does often get a little carried away with the gain and speed in the solos.  still great stuff, from a pair of sadly missed masters
cry HAVOC!! and let slip the pigs of war!!!
