I quite like Zakk´s Sonic Brew -- "Bored to Tears" is just so crushingly heavy, and then there´s a bit of acoustic stuff on there too.  All, the stuff Zakk´s good at, though I think he´s been running out of ideas since the early BLS albums.  The last few have been all right, some decent stuff, but it´s all a bit same-y and predictable.  I think Zakk needs a strong writing partner.  He´s very dominant in the "group" (such as it is) but just can´t do it all by himself for ever.

On a different note -- I´m actually writing from Bogota, Colombia at the moment, down here unexpectedly due too an emergency in my wife´s family.  Haven´t had too much chance to do too much fun, but I did get along to a record release party of a kinda Latin pop/rock artist called Galeano whom I vaguely know (via the the internet until the launch the other night).  Good fun -- and very very differnt from BLS. ;)  Guess he´d picked up a sponsorship from Fender, since his band was all kitted out with very fresh looking Fender gear ....

Rory Gallagher never goes out of style for me. I saw him six times and every time was an adventure. Damn I miss his playing live, when he was live.

Was airing the speakers last night with The Black Keys.  Also found Stereograms Walky Talky man to aid the washing up.

Not got a stereo in my new motor yet so been driving around with no music (I was in the motor for about 5 hours yesterday)  :x .  Very dull indeed, it's usually the only place I can listen to music as loud as I want
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

I don't really have many albums, i download most of my music off limewire (But don't tell anyone, it's illegal  ) But I'm listening to Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment, the 'new' Deep Purple with Steve Morse.

Everyone should definately check out the current Deep Purple lineup, (they're still putting out new material) I saw them live this year and they're sounding better than ever. Steve Morse did so much for that band, he's added a new heavy/shreddy/pinch harmonicky sound that's really breathed life into a band that's been around for 38 years.

I dictaphoned a concert of theirs and I'm listening to that too (Shh, that's illegal too :wink::wink:)
