Yes, their former guitarist Derek Frigo died in 2004, sadly.  He'd been out of the band for years but turned up on the odd track occasionally.  And they've fallen out with Donnie Vie, so (AFAIK) Johnny Monaco is now guitarist and singer (edit: seems Donnie is back!).

They've had a weird career - a bit of early success then almost forgotten, but they've somehow managed to release 11 studio albums, a couple of live ones and a couple of best-ofs.

Early 90's rock band Candelbox. They had some hits and played a good live show. I may get a chance to see them Sat. night do a benefit concert for Autism.

I think Candelbox broke up around 1997 and got together for a few shows last year and now this.
Warpig/Mississippi Queen

I have discovered a number of stoner/doom rock/metal bands, I love this stuff:

Electric Wizard
Orange Goblin
Bad Wizard (though I've known about em for ages I started listening again)
The Sword

Any other recommendations for bands similar?

Also, this guy on HC has a decent band I've been listening to a lot -

www.myspace.com/blacktoedown - listen to Six Guns, it's great.

Sleep
Spiritual Beggars
Mushroom River Band
The Obsessed
The Hidden Hand
Candlemass
Cathedral
Witch
Firebird (more bluesy hard rock than stoner, but featuring Bill Steer of Carcass)
Spirit Caravan
Saint Vitus
Unida
Kyuss (of course)
Trouble (of course!)

and Clutch are uncategorisable, but the best band in the world!
