Humming humbucker
« on: October 01, 2006, 11:38:42 AM »
Hi there, I have a rebel yell set with a slow hand, HSH, the humbuckers are coil tapped to both be split by my tonepot (push pull), but I just noticed the bridge hums even when the tap is turned off, it seems to work fine and it doesnt bother me that much, but does this mean its likely not wired properly and therefore getting the right sound or does it just mean it works fine but the hum cancelling effect is lost somehow...

Thanks for any ideas.

Sounds like the wiring to me - coil splits shouldn't affect the humbucker in full working order.
