Anyway I think I have definately decided on Miracle Man for the bridge.

And I think the neck is between the Nailbomb or Cold Sweat...

Will these pickups sound good in a mahogany bodied s470?

P.P.S Will these pickups be good at replicating Dimebag stuff aswell? Eg Pantera and Damageplan??

Your feedback would really be appreciated

Thanks in advance  ,

RorySRV,

These are my final final final questions...yay

Thanks alot everyone, you've been a huge help

Miracle man should sound great in mahogany. I think it will nail those dimebag squeals quite nicely :)

Kool.

Do you reckon a CS or maybe a NB will sound good in mahogany aswell?

And do you reckon the MM and CS/NB will nail the overall Dimebag tone?

Thanks again,

IMO, NOT trying to be an ass, but Darrell got his tone from a solid state amp which most say was/is cr@p. What I mean to say is, he was a magician;) But that does NOT mean ya can't try.

R.I.P. my friend.

Yea he was a magician.

But then again I will too be using a solid state.

He did need a half decent guitar with some good pups and i am trying to find those good pups.

But let me rephrase my questions:

1)Do you reckon a CS or maybe a NB will sound good in mahogany aswell?

2) Do you reckon (permitting I play everything to perfection and dimebag style)   that the MM and CS/NB will nail the overall Dimebag tone?  :P

Rory, just scoop some mids on an ANGRY amp and go for it and make the tone YOURS bud!

But, fwiw I reckon mm/cs would be uber cool.

And maybe now you'll learn to create your own tones rather than trying to replicate other peoples - more individual, and a helluva lot cheaper :drink:

Ok thanks guys.
Unfortuneately I have just thought of one more question thanks to Broken's thread  :P

Its an easy one mind you, I think....

Anyway...What Pots would you recommend for this combo

(Miracle Man -Bridge Cold Sweat - Neck)

Stock Ibanez (although I am not sure what they are) or other?

BTW the Ibee it will be going into is a s470 (H-S-H) (Mahogany Body)

Thanks again everyone,

RorySRV,

Antag
