Good questions, Dave.

Both boosts are dead transparent, unlike some supposed 'clean' boosts out there.

The cirtuitry is the same on both, with 3 exceptions:

1. The Dos Mos allows you to either cascade the two preamps, or play them individually.

2. The Dos Mos has a trim pot inside the unit to adjust the maximum amount of gain.

3. The Dos Mos has an active buffer which you can bring in and out of the signal chain. Trust me, that feature is worth its weight in gold!!

^ ok, cool, thanks ben. I can vouch for the fact that the uno mos was transparent, i was really very impressed when i tried it!

on the dos mos, if you can voice the two preamps individually, does that mean that each sounds slightly different? (actually, now that I think, I think I may have answered my own question- if they're both transparent, they both sound the same, but you can select either one depending on the amount of boost you want, right?)

and what does the active buffer do? I thought buffers were used to maintain your signal through long cables (or is that a different type of buffer?)

Yes, but there is a side benefit to using one with short cable runs:
The input impedence on the buffer is very high, just like your pickup. It enables the pedal to 'see' the entire signal before pushing it on.
The result = More high frequency clarity and higher resolution.

So where is all this gear demo-ing going Dave? Have you bought any Bare Knuckle Pickups yet Dave? They have the full set of what's on offer on the Homepage you know. There's so many to choose from.

What is going on here with this 'Pseudo BKP' thing?

FFS man you question Ben here like you know better. The man is in a band and gigs. Your just a geek mate!  Now either buy some and post your clips or do one!
