and he switched to kranks, since the deal with washburn was over, so i guess so was the deal with randall..

about the L-500XL. yes it was the original Bill Lawrence one.. not the other screwup
as for the dimebucker, the vice prey of SD says he did use it. probably not in all of his guitars, but in quite a few. i dont know why i shouldnt believe it, since i didnt know darrel personaly, nor have i worked on his guitars, so it's him (dimebag) and his tech, that know exactly what he had in which guitar... the rest is just hearsay and wishfull thinking IMO.

Darrell went to Krank through a friend.
That is Krank was/is an emerging Texas company which Darrell invested in.

Texan's, big generalisation but true often, are VERY pro. Texas and loyal to friends/family, even if not always best/most pertinent move.

The other common rumour about the BL pickup is that Dime installed it upside down for a different sound.

He also used a ton of EQ's in his rig, which is why people often find it hard getting his tone with the Warhead.

He also used a Furman PQ-4 and a MXR Blue six-band EQ. Not sure if they were in the effects loop or not. Check out the gear page at the unofficial Japanese DP site for some more pics and info. http://www.damageplan-jp.com/
