Well i got mine installed the same day that my Hot Plate came, so obviously my entire setup sounded improved x1000! I'm not sure how much of that to attribute to the amp being cranked to 10 and how how much of it was the Nailbomb. Either way - my setup sounds like amazing

Although it made a good drummer gag, to be fair, our drummer is extremely musical. He plays other instruments, writes songs and can even play the drums quietly!
But his usual reaction to new guitarist gear is "What was wrong with the old XYZ? I can't tell the difference". Last night I plugged in and played my SG for the first time at band practice since replacing the stock Gibson pickups and he commented on the "nice, clear sound".
I was pretty much in tone nirvana myself I must say.

yup have a girlfriend like that, then again when you have asked someone 50 times can you here the difference between this pickup and that, suppose it does get annoying although she was impressed when I put the pig in my Sg and hooked up my atomic reactor(not like the North Korian type though)

My wife is very understanding about such things when it comes to guitars, however she dosn't understand more than one amp in the house (actually it may be any number of amps greater than zero in the house considering my playing).

However the statement, "But you already have a pair of shoes" (not the use of the singular) usually stops the female of the speces to an abrupt halt.

For me the final proof came when I put VHII's into my PRS Artist.  I had never really liked the guitar through an amp but loved it accoustically.  I had picked up a set of original Dragon's for it, but already knew how good BK's were because I had them in 2 guitars already.

The PRS now sounds brilliant - all the tones you can get picking it accoustically come through and more besides.  The split positions are very Fenderish sounding and the volume sontrol works (a big difference that all BK's seem to make).

After that experience, my old PRS Standard which I thought had the greatest sound (as did many of my mates), sounded flat - that now has RY's and is sounding great again).

I also have to tell you that Tim makes great bass pickups - he put together a P-Bass for me that is perfect if you love the old 60's Precision sounds.
So many pickups, so little time

my girlfriend listens, takes an active interest and doesnt mind me having no money coz i've been saving up for months for a splawn..

she's a bit of a legend really.. she only has 3 pair of shoes, but has about 20 guinea pigs..

and even my mother noticed the difference of when i put my BKP's in.. but she also noticed the hotplate without being told about and said "that purple thing makes it sound better".. saying that she plays piano, my dad plays guitar my brother plays bass and my sister plays piano.. so im kinda lucky.
