France.

St. Quentin en Yvelines to be precise.

Out here running a training course for a week.  Arrived at the hotel last night about 23:30 local time after much fun and games with the RER.

I was going to post a photo of the stupidly small hotel room, but the phone ha decided to not talk to the PC any more.... hold on a second.  After plugging/unplugging about 10 times it's suddenly decided to work.  Why is all this mobile phone software so flakey and shite?

Anyway, this evening for the first time ever I actually got a decent meal in France.  The 3-4 times I've been here before the food has been bloody awful (apart from one very decent Chinese).

Crazy as it may seem, I miss my little boy terribly and it's only been just over a day.  :(

Nice bed spread. So in the land of legendary cuisine, you can't get a decent meal ( does a Gallic shrug). I know what you mean about missing your little lad-I used to hate trips away from home when mine were small and I used to count the days until I was home again. Bonnet de douche, mange tout and all that

Have to say I have only ever had a decent meal in France, when I have been quite a bit south of Paris. Obviously the poor attitude runs downhill towards the English chanel ;)

Missing the little un is a killer, mine are not so little and I still feel the same way.

Hope the course makes up for the irritations
