Yup. I mean, I like Gibson (generally speaking): I play a Gibbo guitar and will say my Gibbo T-shirt fits better than my BKP one. ;) My Gibson pickups were OK, and I stuck with them for years. But they're not as good as my BKP pups -- and I'll never get personal advice on what to get from Gibson like I did from Tim!

Render unto Caesar things that are Caesar's -- but put BKPs in your guitar! :twisted:

I feel I must chime in as on another forum I was looking at there was a picture that in the background said Canada on something. of course the main focus of the picture had nothing to do with it, but the entire forum (that is to say, all the Americans) start out with "canada sucks, always has and always will" etc etc. I have plenty of friends from the states, but it seems that the ignorant ones always get their voice heard while the intelligent and kind ones are rarely acknowledged. Perhaps that is where my ..somewhat hostile view comes from? Oh, and the whole americans booing the canadian national anthem at all sporting events doesn;t really help :P as far as the hot rod there though, looks like a nice guitar, but I would take the BK's over the gibson pu's anyday

the funniest by far are the ones who think they won the vietnam war...that always cracks me up. same with the enigma code and all the previously mentioned stuff.

It's a Traynor YGL-3. Still got the original Phillips tubes in there as well.

Typical of most places, really -- it's just that, thanks to prominence of the US in media and communications (and a relatively large populations), it's easier to hear American oafs than oafs from other countries. :?

One of the difficulties the UK faces is that they have the habit of inventing clever things (light bulbs, computers, jet engines) but the fail to commercialize them! I think all the product development chaps must have taken off overseas in the days of the Empire, or got killed in the Somme or something ....

Ah well, at least we've got BKPs! Gibson may have applied for the patent, but Tim and Co. do them better! :)

The majority was said in mischief, but I can't help remembering the Gibson Vs PRS nonsense regarding the single cut :(

So personally I wouldn't be amazed if a cease & decist arrived through the post some morning.

Only the UK could launch their first satellite on a Friday and cancel the project on the Monday (because they could see no financial benefit of launching satellites). Or selling the company Inmos (builders of the Transputer family of massively parallel processors) to the French who then closed it (saved the UK goverment the bother).

Only the UK can truely snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

It's been worth a few laughs and our American friends have probably had more schtick than they deserve but the truth of the matter is that there's no way on earth anyone can patent or protect such a well observed and published phenomena as the oxide colours you get by blowing a torch over a chrome finish. In the sixties (here we go; old git warning!) the thing to do was to get the best colour distribution you could on your Triumph exhaust pipes by alternately thrashing it and then letting it cool down. Same game really.

Thrashing a Triumph to color the pipes is alot more fun than heating it with a torch. :D
