Saw Gun Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back when , when taking on the world came out.
Bout same time got into Quire Boys and Thunder.
Thunder are still goin and kick ass too, for a good ole Rock band.
Try and find some Waysted _tom_, or (heck, tbc, brainfart).

Have only heard one Thunder song (Backstreet Symphony) which is great, and I love The Quireboys, they're awesome :D

Will have a look out for Waysted as well.

Larry Blackman and his red codpiece! I bought that Cameo album on the strength of that song, the rest of the album was shite and i used to play it on repeat when my brother was a doley dosser to get the lazy git out of bed!   In the end he snapped it in half!

Edit, Cameo were big in London for a while. They made an appearance on The Tube, on Channel 4. There were loads of them in the band, they may have been into George Clinton and that Parliment/Funkadelic thing

The Gun version was a cracker, way better than the original but someone had to write for them to cover it!

When we finally get a new singer we're gonna cover Word Up in the cover band hopefully :) Will have to rock it up even more than Gun, maybe even with some wah and pinch harmonics

I have a couple of their albums - they were a good band - saw them live a few times.

Joolz Gizzi was the main guitar guy and featured on an early Texas record (Dont need a lover)
They did pretty well and toured supporting the Stones and Def Leppard

Alex Dickson who had been in Heavy Pettin and Midnight Blue joined for the second album - later playing with Bruce Dickinson, Robbie Williams and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice)

Their version of Word up is fab, as is the album it came from : Swagger

Do a search on ebay for them - they come up often

Great fretwork!

Yeah, we are eventually gonna get some free studio time to do some good quality recordings, we just need a good singer first. Thought our last one was gonna be the one, then he bloody quit for no reason 2 weeks later!
