Dude, if theres two houses in the middle of nowhere here then there will be a pub.

I live in a town of 25000 people and there are a good 50 pubs, minimum. And a few bars and clubs.

Alcohol is by far and away the main past-time here :lol:

Some of the women are pretty hot. But...well, lets put it this way, Millom, a town about 30 miles down the coast, has one of the highest inbreeding rates in europe  :o

I went to Blainau Festiniog in N Wales once. Seemed pretty apparant there too!

Good luck with the new buy Nick. What did you make of the Koch?

I liked the Koch but it was abit big for me (they only would sell the 4x12 1/2 stack, not a dealer). It had a def. distinct tone and I DID manage to piss em off by letting free with the volume :)
Just like the spec and tone of the Rivera. And I plan a very small rack so the midi will be VERY usefull. I was lusting after the Herbert (although still say it's overpriced) and the Rivera is as close but alot more reasonable with a very distinct tone of it's own and a truly amazing clean channel to boot.

We really SHOULD try and organise a BKP PUP/Ampfest ya' know :)

Yeah in Salisbury so we can go combat drinking in all your pubs!!  8)

My amp dominates my room and it's a great shelf too!  :wink:

just to point out (and this is totally hearsay) i heard some not so good things about thomann, maybe over at lordriffenstein's engl forum (i can't remember exactly where).

I can't remember much about it, but I guess you'd like to know anyway, mark.

they even called me to say when my package was shipped. extremely fast shipping too

Well, not heard back from em as of yet but then again was late this afternoon I emailed em.

Anywhoo, have till Saturday to see which way this particular saga goes anyway :)

Johnny, would'nt be so much point a PUP/AMP 'fest if we had same amp anyway ;)

And,hmmmmmmm in Salisbury, I'm game. Nearest neighbors to me are over 300ft. in any direction so volume could/can be arranged  :twisted:

RE Rivera Knucklehead. I think Steve Lukather used one on the No Substitutions album and it rocks! Carltons tone is better though... Fancy a Dumble? :wink:

OK, nother opinion thing.

Lets say the KH 100r is not won by me.

So, I can go for a KH 55r (same thing in 55watts, which tbh is MORE than fine, and with warranty etc.).

But what about the NEW K Tre???? Damn, hate decisions. I hav'nt tried this one. Two channels with heaviest gain on any Rivera ever produced and the other the 'normal' gorgeous Rivera clean channel. Apart from only 2 channels the main deiff. I can see is lack of midi switching.

Now, have not had a midi amp but think it's very nice/useable idea. But, what in 'real world' would you guys say?
