maybe everyone is listening to another band called The White Stripes but for me he is one of the only current players getting REAL tone from a guitar.
the humbuckers in those National guitars don't sound anything like P90s so I can't understand the MQ suggestions. these guitars have low output humbuckers - a Stormy Monday or Mule is gonna be the closest you'll get with BKP.
I was under the impression that
that guitar of his was an eastwood airline (or possibly an airline eastwood, cant remember). I agree Stormy mondays are probably the closest things you could get, but he uses a load of ancient boutique amps and pedals so I agree on the "more in the fingers and amps" point.
Off topic, but i love the 'stripes. not a huge fan of jacks tone, but music-wise he never fails to impress me. Always has to be different :roll:
