Hi,

I'm trying to get some info on pickups. Tey aren't BKPs but as an excuse I will say that I intend to replace them with Stormy Mondays! Yes serious, promissed, it's really true! :D

I have a Gibson ES435 from '74 and the pickups base plate show a difference : the neck pups has a small black sticker with the patent number in gold (helas no pat pending). The bridge pickup has the patent number engraved on the base plate. The DC measurement is almost identical 6.91K for the neck and 6.94k for the bridge. When played the output is pretty low even compared to a Gibson neck pup comming out of an ES175 I had bought new in '81 (this one is 7.3K.)
Neck pup sounds warm but weak. Bridge pup is a bit harsh and weak. Reasons for me to think about Stormy Mondays. There, you see?

Could anybody help me to identify them or give any info?

Sounds like they're genuine Gibson humbuckers to me. See this site for some ino and whether the sticker on the neck pickup matches the pictures:

Sorry, I didn't express myself clearly.
Yes they certainly are genuine Gibson pickups, but does anybody have an idea about what is the difference between the little black sticker and the engraved backplate.
My idea is that at a certain time the engraved backplate replaced the stickers but when?

Have you read page I linked above? That's why I put it there...

You have T-top humbuckers. The stamping of the patent number started in 1976 and it replaced the sticker. Simple as that.
