FINALLY ordered one from good ol' Feline and can't wait for it to arrive :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

not quite sure why i'm posting, i'm just excited :D:D

They are really good bridges. I got one last month with Graphtech saddles and I thought it would make a slight difference but I was wrong, it made a HUGE difference! It now has noticably more sustain for both chords and single notes! :shock:

I've got a Tonepros bridge and Graphtec nut on my SG. Made a huge difference to the sustain and acoustic tone.

oo - how much are they going for? i was just looking at them actually - guess i thought it might be able to help me out with my lil problem...?
I don't mean to hijack the thread guys but on my new les paul i can't get the intonation right. Whatever i do the note at the 12 fret is always sharp of the harmonic. I've put the saddle as far back as possible (looks ridiculous) and it's still sharp! :? I'd be really grateful if anyone magnificent knows what to do.

i think the bridge is around £70, don't know about the stoptail though

If you've moved the bridge back as far as you can go, I can't see that a new bridge will help? Might be worth getting a luthier to look at it as you might need a new nut or a Buzz Feiten one?

Nah a new bridge won't help - i thought that maybe the saddles were past it or something. i think this guitar needs all-new hardware. damn thing doesn't stay in tune 8-) damnit. i bend and she's out... i have bad bad luck with guitars and amps. sometimes i just wanna quit. i hate things breaking

Super big strings and low tuning can require a more exaggerated intonation setting which may fall outside of the range of a bridge installed for regular gauge strings and tuning.

The tonepros with the graphtech saddles are great news as they DO solve several problems at once, but sadly may not help with lowered tuning /fat strings.

What guitar is it on Indy and what tuning /gauge do you use?

Apologies if the bridge is already set this way, but have you tried turning the saddles (or the whole bridge) round so the "flat" sides are facing "backwards" like the first three saddles in the picture below? It might give you an extra millimetre or two to play with:

I've reversed the whole bridge on my schecter baritone with good result. I'm not a big fan of those kind of bridges, even if they are very confortable for PMs. Strings seems always looser with them, maybe it's just me...

These bridges also have a greater range in terms of adjusting intonation, so depending on the degree of your problem, could help.

Dont forget that vintage style tune-o-matics are narrower and have less saddle travel than some of the newer models so sometimes you can change bridge to get more travel. I dont know about the tone-pros or the guitar you have though. And dont rule out compensating the nut instead.

A nashville TOM (new gibsons) is about 13.46 mm front to back. Gotoh's are 13.84mm. ABR-1's (classic gibson) are only 11.1mm. 3mm can be alot of travel. I have seen lots of cheaper guitars with TOM's more like the old gibsons and lots with the Gotoh style so it really depends what you have. I wouldnt change a bridge just for this reason but if you were changing one anyway it could be an added bonus.

As an aside, Feline, can you supply 7 string Tonepros? They don't show them on the site but ESP and Schecter have them on their guitars.
