Bare Knuckles 'Factory' visit
« on: November 25, 2006, 10:43:51 AM »
I was down in Cornwall and paid a visit to the boys at BK.  I just made it in time to catch Tim before he left for the USA to do some Iced Earth recordings. I picked up some pickups and had a great chat with Tim, Steve and Chris.  I also met the two Irish Wolfhounds (including the 48 kg 'puppy'!).

I would not recommend this trip to anyone who has never driven in the English countryside!  The local roads have passing places and are very narrow and twisty.  I loved it, but I grew up in Yorkshire and we hace roads like this too.

It was great to see all the mojo being put into the pickups and where they come from.
So many pickups, so little time

Apparently Tim's working on some new pickups with Polonium-210 magnets.  The name comes from a track on Gene Simmons' 1978 solo album.....

This thread needs pictures.

So about how many people do you think take to assemble one BKP? If their are more than just time, what are the other workers like? Like, are they low-paid immigrants or normal educated British citizens (BTW, I am NOT saying immigrants are not educated or normal, or should be paid with dung)

I've heard rumours that BKP employees are actually elves. Since the market in magic swords, long bows and stuff has collapsed, they turned to magic picup winding.

In Cornwall they have piskies instead of elves.
