Who here uses D*A*M pedals? They're pretty rare but everything I've heard about them indicates that we finally have a genuine top-notch, best in the business boutique maker of our own here in Britain!

I've been on the waiting list for a Sonic Titan for a while now. Only 4 came in to Vintage & Rare today, and already they have all gone...luckily one should be winging it's way to me in time for Thursday's band practice!

I'm really excited about hearing this pedal; I'm hoping it will give me the gain and the flexibility I require.

Anyone else here had experiences of D*A*M?

I've had a couple of D*A*M* pedals - a custom red Dragonfly and a limited edition (1 of 4) Phase 100, which is a 70's MXR circuit put in D*A*M* housing and made true bypass.

A lot of guys over at the Matamp forum use D*A*M pedals and give them a really good write up. I know that Skybone on this forum uses D*A*M products, but I couldn't tell you which ones. I'm gassing after a RED Rooster myself...

They have realt 'stoner-ish' kind of sound it seems and they are sort of tailored that way. I am realy wanting a Meathead deluxe after hearing the clips on their product page.

I'm currently using a Sonic Titan and a Meathead Deluxe, though the Deluxe may be getting "retired" (it's still a "keeper" though!) soon as the Titan provides more than enough grins! ;)

They are really great pedals, even better to think that they're built to be low environmental impact (specially sourced boards, components & packaging). Most of the pedals are based on classic designs, and then "modded" to produce something slightly different, be it more gain, a grainier fuzz etc.

They're well worth the wait! ;)

Simply superb. ;)

Best comparison would be a TS-9 that's been doing steroids getting into a nitrous injected, supercharged V8.

Sweet...I'm replacing a modded SD1 (modded to TS808 specs) with this bad boy, to give me more of a thick heavy tone from a less overdriven amp. Names I've heard mentioned have been Smashing Pumpkins, J.Mascis, so this - fingers crossed - could be what I need.

Just did thanks, some good stuff on there. Liking the look of the Ram Head too, although I don't really know where or how I'd use a muff in my set up right now.

Titan arrived this morning, will be demoing it with a nice loud JCM800 at rehearsal tonight and reporting back! :)

Right, got back from band practice about 90 minutes ago.

The Sonic Titan is a beast!

This thing has oodles of gain on tap. And it sounds sweet; it's basically the sound I wanted. A nice thick distortion with excellent clarity. I haven't really had a chance to fully mess around with it, I'll save that for over Christmas. But yeah, very pleased.

I had the JCM with both volumes set to 12 o clock; and the Titan with drive and volume at about 9pm, and had monster gain coming off the bridge Crawler.

A strat through a largely clean 100W marshall...kick in the Titan and all hell breaks loose!

Very very impressed with this little pedal :P

(I could try and do soundclips sometime but I don't really know if it's possible - I would only be recording from the output of a Hotplate into a Dell soundcard and Audacity, hardly great for showing the fidelity of a pedal).

Also........this thing is quiet - well, when you're not playing that is!

MV on 10, Gain around 4, pedal Level & Drive around 8, Tone on 5. Feedback to taste!  :twisted:
