Hey dude jut a quick one to add to this thread - I recently put a set of Mules in a Yamaha SG recently. I think the Yamaha SG is more like a thickness of a LP, and the Mules sound great through it. Not quite sure how thick your SG is but all I can say about the Mules is that they have a very clear, defined tone, they rock.
The midrange hump that people talk about isn't bad at all, in fact I'm ebrasing midrange big time at the moment, which was something I didn't do before fitting the Mules. The tone is fantastic, and through a cranked valve amp, you're in face melting territory! Anyway, I'm really pleased with my set of Mules - they do exactly what I want them to do - very versatile, they rock it out, and clean up really nicely. Sound great in the Yamaha SG.
