The Mule could be an excellent choice, honestly. It makes an LP sounds like an LP, if ya know what I mean! :) That said, I wanted something with vintage vibe but a bit more beef, and went for the Crawler. It's similar in output to the RY, but perhaps not as bright.
Also very close to the Crawler is the Abraxas, which is even more like a "hot Mule" and I should think would be very "girl friendly" (at least, in my imagination 8)).
At any rate, the Abraxas/Crawler neck pup takes you into the most insane "woman tone" territory (which might not, technically, be the same thing as "girl friendly", but then again it migh! :D).
