Last night was my second reheearsal with the VHII-equipped s00per strat, and just like last week, it sounded amazing!!

I did, however, notice one problem, which also occured at my home, but I assumed it was an abberation ... I was picking up what sounded like AM radio!

Is there any additional shielding I can do to eliminate the problem?

Thanx in advance ....

ps: I played through a single channel Roccaforte head last night; that amp is scary good!!!!

So what was on, any good music?

There's a metallic foil available you can stick on the back of you pickguard.

The foil is there. I'm gonna try lining the pickup cavity with some foil and see if that helps.

The VHII has a hefty coil offset so if you're in a high RF situation it will pickup it up quicker than a symmetrically wound pair of coils.
It might be an idea to screen the wiring cavity-also put a bit of insulation over the 2 con so that you don't get into trouble with the cavity screening.

Glad you're digging the tone..........it's a very'adult' tone and it takes a bit of getting used to as there's no where to hide.Keeps you on your toes  .

Let's see ... NYC, by definition, IS high RF!!! LOL

Thanx for the tips, Tim. I am totally in love with the tone I'm getting!
It's like the Strat was reborn! I think I'm addicted to offset coils, btw.

I was thinking Hendrix - I had the same problem with my PRS with VHII's yesterday.  Having said that I think my house here is the RF interference center of the universe.

After a year in the UK, I had forgotten all about this - I got rid of some of it by changing leads and pedals around.  I am wondering what my Irish Tours will sound like  PDT_018

PhilKing ... actually, my Irish Tour is fine!
You're practically a neighbour of mine, so I think we're in the same boat. :)
