I got back home a few days ago and got a chance to mic up my Engl Powerball with matching v60 cab. I just did this quick clip, couldn't really get the amped cranked, but I still quite like the tone. Just an audix i5 slightly off axis pointing between the cone and dust cap. Be interested to hear what you guys think.
Cheers

(sorry for the super generic riff, just wanted to do it quickly!)

I've heard some awesome clips of Powerballs on various forums - this is no exception!
What guitar/pickups where you using?

Oh yeah - remember your post from the other day. Thats a nice setup.
Still not 100% sure about Black Machine guitars (just the headstock really) but at least they sound amazing. And if they're good enough for Pin from Sixth they must be Ok

Cheers guys!
Groove in A was done with my ESP MV300 with ceramic warpigs into my pod xt pro.
Thats my recording setup currently at college. I am going to be rerecording Groove in A soon with my band which will hopefully include my Engl and blackmachine!

Dude, this is more than great!I love ENGL's,I use them myself too.(Rack units E530 and E920/50)
Would Warpigs fit in a Schecter C7 Hellraiser?(I hate those EMG 707's big time)
Congrats, great playing anyway and the Blackmachine is gorgeous!

Very cool mate.
I liked the riff. Nothing amazing, but for 'super-generic' its pretty un-generic. Mayhaps you listen to too much sikth ;)

No. 707s are in a bass housing: normal 7 string pickups dont even fit

Haha, thanks MDV. I just wanted to make sure people understood this was not the kind of stuff I generally write. Its actually for a side project of mine which is a bit tongue and cheek piss take out of things we enjoy. For example that intro riff being extremely cheesey.
On my sound click account there is another track called Remix with bass WDYTAGBYJ which is the first track I did with them. Got another track on the way.
I heard you can buy pickup holders which fit over 707 holes to allow you to have normal sized pickups.

Have a look around there. Im pretty sure thats where I read it.
