I like it, and I'm not even really a V man. The photoshopped image there is a bit flat, and the headstock is a little indistinct in the picture. Looks much classier in photos. Unfortunately the quilt finished USA built ones are a limited run of 150
It's interesting you feel that Dean is a fashionable brand Philly, as if you go over to the Dean forum they have the opposite impression.
As for the headstock, that's the Dean 6 in a line headstock, so if he wanted 6 in a line then that's what he got (plus from Deans point of view it's the same style as the Rusty Cooley 7 string, which is made in the same factory). While it probably would have looked cool with a bevelled V headstock, it would probably have been too similar to the Razorback V.
