I wonder: what is the point of something like that?

metal to the max to the extreme 111eleven!!!, I guess.

Not my cup of tea either- even the standard MM might be maybe a little too hot for my tastes when it arrives, but I had to try it as the soundclips sounded like what I was after for this particular guitar...  Then again, my amp has plenty of gain for me already.

I think you will love it. The MM pushes high gain amps into metal heaven!! (Or hell, as the case may be PDT_008)

^ yeah, that's what I'm hoping- i'm more used to medium high alnico v bridge pickups, great for that 80's type melodic shred tone, but I wanted something a little tighter, and a little more "lynch" than "satch", for want of a better descriptive word, lol.

Then the Miracle Man is what you want!!

Lynch didn't touch anything with lower output than a Duncan Distortion until he was out of Dokken. MM in a maple guitar = classic Lynch tone!

I have a 23k double screw pole MM. I call it the Monster Miracle Man. Its a beast.

But I dont think its for you. Its a psychopath: same power level as a CWP.

Last word in thightness, though, in my experience.

it's not going in a maple guitar (mahogany), but I'm not trying to totally nail the dokken tone, lol- I wanted something to cope with more modern metal, but also do 80's metal/thrash/hair metal as well, and tim recommended the time-honoured MM/CS combo.

Now I just have to wait.
