what is this used for? (i mean if you use a guitar with it)

could you put it in the effects loop? for what purpose?

Its a mic preamp- a microphone goes in one end and the output goes into a mixer or audio interface/recording device. It gives a warmer signal especially if you're recording onto a computer or some other DAW.
I wouldn't recommend using it as an overdrive, if that's what you're thinking.

no im not, im wondering if you could use it to warm up your tone as in using it in the FX loop........ or something.... i've seen reviews where people have used it in a guitar and amp setup and they said it makes their tone sound warmer..... does this work???

just noticed this - no idea if its any good, but its meant for guitar, its by behringer, and it has valves. maybe up your street?

tube and everything! and a noise gate thrown in! (in case any of you don't know, i have a huge thing for Behringer gear :lol: )

could it do REALLY heavy tone though? not Trivium/BFMV tone, but i mean Doom/Death metal tone

It's just on overdrive, no high gain signal destroyer :lol:
It's a Vox Bigben copy I believe, if it sounds even slighlty as good as the original it could be interesting :)
You have to use it to boost an already overdriven amp.

i see. i'm still intrigued though, but i would have to get a valve amp first to achieve best results 8)
