i think the 500xl is out of the running for me now, as theres a huge debate over two different companies that sell different versions, and everything contradicts itself, some say 1 is great 1 poo, and vice versa... i'm not risking even £40 on chancing getting the lower spec resin filled cr@p one!! (the clips sound good, but the guy doesnt know what type it is...)

i hate this, i know what pickups i DONT like, thats easy! Plus i know my rig will make it sound different anyway, and for the money and rep on here i doubt i'll be disappointed! (honestly, i am VERY picky with things, i've had more guitars than i can count on two hands in 5years ok... plus side is, i know EXACTLY what i want out of my custom build now!!! And i can drive a mean trade :lol: )
If i get a neck pickup its going to be the Air Norton, i love the sound of it (good enough for Dream Theatre?) and can get it for $55 + UK shipping, thats a steal! I wont be swayed on that one (i dont think...)
