I think either way "This is Tim's house, it's Tim's rules"

Wish he'd put the kettle on more though.

  Genius!

An explanation of the deletion(s) would be appreciated, just so we know what to avoid saying in the future  :)

Maybe a PM to the thread-starter, at the very least.

I removed the threads because I didn't like the direction they were going in basically, also there were several objections from other forum members who shared a similar concern.Constructive discussion, no problem but if someone wants to talk about APC or whoever then they can do it on that companies forum or one of the general epuipment forums.
I put this forum up several years ago to promote and discuss BKPs  and provide a friendly and informative atmosphere for people to discuss guitar playing and music.....objective discussion and comparisons to other brands isn't a problem but I'm not prepared to promote other brands in any shape or form as they rightly wouldn't do so to our company.
Censorship.............I don't think so, just trying to keep the forum generally on topic, a friendly and informative place and good place to come to learn about BKPs.
At the end of the day it's my company and I make decisions in it's best interest. On the whole I've been really pleased with the way the forum conducts itself, there's alot of information and some great demos on tap. The vibe is friendly and mature, way more so than alot of forums on the internet and that's the way I'd like it to stay.
A big thank you to all of you who try your best to keep things objective and running smoothly!

Seems reasonable to me.

Thanks for chipping in on this and clarifying your stance on it, Tim.

Pretty much what I thought the "problem" was, and cheers Tim for explaining it in your own words.

Wise builder of excellent business is he.

So, what exactly didn't you like about "the way it was going" no one was saying that the other companies pickups were better, quite the opposite infact.
This still doesn't explain the deletion of the other post, the only thing in that was BLOODMOUNTAIN saying "look at this company trying to rip of BKP"
The only other things mentioned in the topic was the BKP factory and its staff.

I cant see any promotion myself.

cheers for the reply, tim. Seems reasonable to me too. I agree, this is (generally) a pretty mature and cool forum to hang out at compared to a lot of the ones out there.

Sorry, are you some kind of authority on this forum? You seem to like telling people what to do.

Tim is. He OWNS it. Literally, it belongs to him. And he's made himself quite clear, I think.

Stick around for a while and you'll see that this really is a nice place, friendly, relaxed and open.

And for the record, TO is well respected here (with good reason), and a cool guy. Youre dishing out a fair old hard time for a fella thats been here five minutes, I must say. Please show some more respect.

Listen mate, I'm fairly new around here, so I'm certainly no sort of authority, I'm also not telling you what to do, but here's how I see what's going on:

You posted a thread talking about other pickups, I'm not sure if that was your first post, but it must have been somewhere near.  The man who's virtual front room you are virtually sitting in didn't like the way the conversation was going and stopped it.  He has a business to think about and once your head is in business mode, there is no mercy.

You started this thread bitching about how, in your opinion, the thread shouldn't have been deleted and started spouting off about how you wont be buying BKP's and that you were out of here.  Tim gave a perfectly reasonable explaination and your still here, bitching at him in his own house.

I've had people like you in my actual (not virtual) front room and I've thrown them out.

And from what I can work out from my time here, Twighlight Odyssey isn't an authority figure, but he's well respected for being an alright bloke.

So please, put the kettle on on your way out and don't slam the door, you'll scare the cat.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.
