I`ll see how it goes.

_Tom_ gets a good Slash-y sound out of his GH50L with Mules, I used my GH50L in my AC/DC band so it does Angus and I'm pretty sure the Jake, Zakk and Jimmy tones are in there too.  The GH series has been described as similar to a JCM800 Marshall, so I don't think you'll go wrong given the tones you're after.

Buy it and enjoy it!  I miss my GH50L...

I would of bought yours at the drop of a hat!

I`d rather a 50watter so I can crank it easier. Also, buying from a trusted member is always better.

Do you think I`ve got the right stompboxes I mentioned earlier? For the tones I`m looking for. I`ll be running a Holy diver and 2 x slowhands in my Jake Blueburst Strat made by Bob Johnson when it arrives.

I was thinking about running a Framus 2x12 and then getting another in the future sometime.

Cheers

I reckon the amp/cab/stomps will be great.  Getting Slash tones out of a strat might be a bit of a challenge though.  Isn't the new Holydiver a ceramic pickup too?  It'll be fine for Zakk stuff but Slash's sweeter tones will be harder to get.

I think you'll get in the rough area of those tones, but have something different and unique to you.  Is that what you're after?

Oh, and the 50w vs 100w thing.  I always thought I was a 50w man.  Turns out I prefer 100w heads...

Holydivers now have Alnico magnets, the older ones have Ceramic. The ceramic holy divers work very well for the Jake and Zakk tones.

I have an epi les paul custom atm.

I am hoping to get another Les Paul from Bob in a few months. I can always put a Miracle Man or Nailbomb in that. The VR tones aren't as important to me as the Ozzy and AC/DC tones.

Cheers

For Ozzy and 'DC in a Les Paul I think you'll want Mr Versatile - The Mule.  With the GH it'll sound great.

Just ask _Tom_, or search for some of his clips  :D

I'm using old Laney Klipp heads now, they're probably vintage or something  ;)  They're early seventies and I love the tone of them.

I think all the GH series have silver front panels?

What other choices are there?

Do you guys think a Marshall DSL would be more suitable for me?
