How important are tube ratings?

Hey I got a new set of tubes rated at 40, and the ones that are currently in my amp I think are rated at 47, how important is this? no dig deal? massive deal?

what brand of tubes?for instance, groovetubes have performance ratings, which determine how/when tube breaks up/tube life
