You're DAMN right it is effective!

There is nowhere to hide your technical faults with it and you will quickly realise just how sloppy your picking can be.

It is so cheap and so revealing I can only assume that the reason it isn't more popular is that it is so demoralising...

I have three and my ego only allows me to use it occasionally to check if I have improved... I know that is not getting the full use out of it but any longer than that and I feel like the sh1test picker on the planet.

I know that one week of diligent use would transform my style.

well I don't think it's all that transforming since it's a bit limiting in some situations.
It's only best used for picking on one string or doing 3 or 4 notes per string runs, not too good for sweeping since you can't tilt with it.
And for those who like to tilt their pics for all types of picking it doesn't work either.
But it does teach you about economy of motion when picking, and it does that very well.
I just think of it this way, $10 to improve your picking even by a little bit is totally worth it.

Aren't you meant to keep your hand straight when sweeping aswell? I've allways been told that, although I never do since my technique's not up to it.

The stylus pick was never designed to sweep pick.

Only to develop your muscle memory and awareness in alternate picking and as I said it does this almost too well.

Anywhere OTHER than strings direct? They dont accept Visa Electron's :( There the only way for under 18's to waste money online..
