I really wish I could play the harmonica (blues harp). The sound of a blues harp played well through a bullet mic gets to me every time. I love the instrument. I tried it but I really suck at it.

Are there any insruments you wish you could play but suck at?

sax, I guess. my sister tried it for a while in school, i had a quick go, but I don't really get along with wind instruments... :(

maybe violin.

other than that, I'm pretty happy. I can play drums, guitar and piano, those are most of my faves right there.

Ratty maybe you should blow at it. I play bass and guitar-bass better than guitar in fact. I can play chords and stuff on piano but would love to be able to do it properly like my son can and I can play really basic drum rhythms and I have played mandolin on a track years ago after 2 days intensive practice. I am Grade 8 on Spoons.

Although it's not technically an instrument ( ;) ) I'd like to be able to play the drums.  I've got no chance - not enough co-ordination!

I will say piano, but only so as I can build myself up to a old Hammond B series or a damn big church organ with a low end that can truely shake the ground

id say the guitar.

i've owned a guitar for a few years, but i can't truly 'play' it.

i can't sit there and come up with a riff or melody, i can't perform something of my own to anyone... i can passably play some other peoples stuff though!

id love to play the piano aswell, i did dabble with a keyboard, but again, never became a player.

Uilleann Pipes, they have such a haunting tone and in the right hands sound amazing.  In my hands they sound like a cat fight or a set of Bradford lasses in the centre of town after closing time (possibly the sound I hate most in the world  :P )

Yeah, Piano doesn't do it for me, but I'd love to be able to play something on a massive organ.
