very hard to pick, as everyone's said already.

I'm kinda torn between Van Halen (VH1) and Guns n roses appetite for destruction. EDIT: surfin with the alien (satch) and ah via musicom (eric johnson) are pretty good too.

that could pretty much change whenever, though.

Hmm..
Tricky.
Maybe Mahavishnu Orchestra "Birds Of Fire". The Infinity Project "Mystical Experiences" is very close.

It is kinda hard, but usually there is that one album that you keep going back to, or can just listen to anytime no matter what the mood is. I can listen to Kill Em All anytime, anywhere, anyplace.

"Grace" by Jeff Buckley without a shadow of a doubt.

Boguht it 25th June 1999, listened to it at least once a day, every day, for 18 months. I've calmed down a lot now - just 4 or 5 times a week.

Cracking voice, much better guitarist than people give him credit for, and a bloody good song writer, who managed to prove that having a frankly huge vocal range didn't mean you had to warble needlessly over the music (see Whitney, Mariah et al). Buckers always managed to use his voice to the benefit of the song. Ace

Wow.... tough call.

I'll have to go with a complete split between.

Back in black - ACDC
Vs - Pearl Jam
Nevermind - Nirvana
Sufin with the alien - Satch
Dookie - Green Day
Roll on - The living end

I guess to help clarify this Crazy_joe you might want to add to the qualification for "farvourite" as perhaps:

"I can slap this albums on anywhere/time and listen to it start to finnish without skipping a track."

Doesnt help me mind you as anyone can get into my car and chances are one of these albums are playing.

Haha, well i guess it's just me then, i agree different moods can lead to different choices, i just find that there is 1 album that no matter the mood i can shove it on and sing along/air guitar to.

Wow, someone else picked 'Birds of Fire' - thought I'd be the only one!

It's up there, with 'Revolver', 'Grace', 'OK Computer' and 'Day Is Done'by Brad Mehldau. Oh,and maybe  'Moanin' by Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers...

...and something by Cypress Hill

...and Tom Waits

...and Frank Zappa

I give up!

Ah Grace-if ever there was a classic-you are right Rahnoo-you see it is impossible to choose an all time favourite album-just can't be done.I start thinking about Hendrix, Zappa, Little Feat, Jeff beck, The Faces, Ronnie Lane and...well I could go on all night.

Man this is tough! Right now I'm sort of fixated on Paul Gilberts solo album "Get out of My Yard". But it might be because I'm going to see G3 in 10 DAYS!!!

I guess the one I always go back to has to be Van Halen- VHII. It doesn't have my favorite songs of all time on it, but I do love all the songs there.
