No I had somehow stumbled into the song (I think a friend had sent me the youtube video) and after 1 minute of total misunderstanding, THEN I tried to find something. Don't worry I was more joking than anything, I did go through the whole song. Hence why I want those 2 minutes back

I like Waking the Fallen quite a lot.

But City of Evil sounds HORRIBLE. Everything I hear off this album is just sub par poppunkmetalteenagemusic. I don't mind, people are free to listen to whatever they want and I'm no one to criticize. I just don't like it myself.

However I do quite like Bullet for my Valentine.

It's called melodic hard rock, and it's actually what older guys like me enjoy. Bat Country has 2 very distinct riffs, so I don't quite understand where you are coming from on that front. City of Evil is a great album with great songs and decent playing, and to be honest is a lot more original than a lot of the heavier acts out there right now (for starters their music acknowledges that the 90s happened).
If you like something heavier, then that's fine, but there's no need to slag them off pointlessly.
BFMV make some decent metal, but they are the most generic band out there.

Sorry, this is just my own opinion. They make me laugh. I'm French, I'm laughed at everyday, it's ok by me ;) I don't mean to pass this as the universal truth, sorry if it seemed so. Like I said, I really enjoy Waking the Fallen. City of Evil just doesn't agree with my ears. I'm really not one to slag off people based on what music they listen.

There's an awful lot of EMO love in here,

Bullet
A7X
Trivium (not emo music but may aswel be)

They all suck balls. I can't understand how a metalhead such as Bloodmountain would like these
Black Dogs

Previous BKP's: Riff Raff, Holy Divers, Painkillers, C. Warpig, Nailbomb, Miracle Man.

Why be embarassed by the bands/songs you like? There's no reasons you should.

When I first heard Bat Country, I spent about 3 seconds searching for a melody/riff/reason to listen to the song. I still haven't found anything worth it. 3 seconds was about the best balance I could have achieved. Longer and it'd have been a waste of time.

Ihavea  reason for you to like bat county

because that makes listening the song worthwhile :D

Amon Amarth are real good. You should check out Spiritual Beggars, Norther and Between the Burried and Me. You may like this stuff.

Still trying to decide whether I should go to their gig tommorow night, but to be frank - I'm much more interested in the Support band.

FINNTROLL FOR LYF!
My last FM.
ESP Horizon NTII.
ESP Viper Camo.
ENGL Screamer.

Maybe some of us like lyrics about things we can relate to. I've never sold my soul for an endless supply of groupies, been dismembered by a landmine or taken part in a Crimean war cavalry charge, but I have felt trapped in a bad relationship, felt socially isolated and felt like a faceless cog in the machine of society.
