Hi to everyone this is my first post ever anywhere but I had to write to say how pleased I am with the Mothers Milk  set in my American with rosewood fingerboard Strat.
I was recommended B.K.P by Will Scott guitars a luthier here in S Wales who apart from over 20yrs experience in the trade, a fine player who gigs regular  has also maintained and seviced several of mine and my friends guitars.I spoke to Tim over the phone and after listening to the clips decided on the set I thought would suit my style , Will ordered and fitted them for me .Now I am sonically very happy, inspiration used to be availible in bottles now it comes in small brown boxes  :lol: The MM set  is great if your coming over from humbuckers I use a Les Paul Standard and an Ibanez RG 750 through a Marshall  Jtm 30 (2x10) and a Mesa Boogie Rectoverb. The Strat now covers all the other bases and some more !. If you like Funk,Fusion,Blues,Rock,Jazz,Reggae etc you cant go wrong with these .I would love to put some clips up to help others as they helped me If anyone could tell me how its done or what I need I,d love to have a go .

simplest way is to get a microphone for your pc get some recording software hit record and play.

Hi, welcome to the forum, glad you like the pickups.  I know Will, he has worked on serveral guitars for me and is just finishing a 5 string bass. He is also another transplanted Yorkshireman, though he is down there in Pembrokshire.  He will be making me another Les Paul (he already made me one a few years ago), this year, and it will have BK's on, but I haven't decided which ones yet.  I'm waiting for LGS where Tim will have a lot of Les Pauls with different pickups that I can try!

seriously though, more guitars = better. always.

that's cool about the MM's, by the way, boogieman... you don't hear them mentioned around here all that much (except by phil and ben an odd time)... there definitely do seem to be some pickups that are always talked about on here... i think most of the forumites are metalheads, lol.

^ That's very true Dave. There is comparatively little discussion about single coils, which is a shame, because some of the clips I've heard have been superb. I'm still GASsing for a set of singles for one of my guitars, but I can't decide if I want to mod my Pacifica 812 or my Tele.

I think another guitar might be called for, just so I can fit it with a set of Irish Tours, or perhaps Slowhands....

Too much choice.  :)

^ yeah, i'd like to hear about the singles too. I play primarily hard rock/80's metal, so I can't really talk about metalheads without including myself, but I do like a nice strat or tele tone every so often too. I just need to get round to getting one, lol.

I'm pretty much a heavy rock player too, but there are times when only a single coil will do - whenever the mood takes to try playing some SRV (badly in my case), you've got to have coils!  :)

I have a set of Irish Tours in my 50's reissue strat. It sits most of the time in my shop for quiet moments, and I could happily sell it 10 times a day.

It sounds AMAZING.

true. on the one hand, it's cool to like a wide variety of stuff... though it's not so good on your wallet, unfortunately.

Hi thanks for the welcome sorry I haven,t had time to get back sooner.
Funny thing is as soon as I get to work all I want to do is go home and plug in again .These mother milk are great I never thought you could get such an authentic sound from some thing less than 35 years plus
    (would be nice to have a vintage though) 8)
Simon is right there is times only a
single coil will do .I used to use the coil tap I had put in my rg750 which is fine from time to time but eventually you have to give in to the need for good tone.
Thanks for the advice on recording I will have to get my head around that one once the funds allow it.
Then we goin to make it funky.
