Like a Miracle man

Haha i don't really know but i would think it would be similar to the Miracle Man being same magnets and DC being kind of close, though MM has a lot more output.

What do you want to play? I'm sure there is a normal bkp humbucker which will solve your problems.

IIRC someone on this forum has a Nailbomb.  No idea how it sounds, but IMO it would be a bit of an ice-pick - the A5 Nailbomb has plenty of top end as it is.

If you want higher output + bright sound + ceramic tightness, then it's a toss up between MM or PK.  MM has a lot of low end, PK more mids.  FWIW I did a riff shootout in the player's forum.

+1 - I'm a bit sceptical when people who don't yet have any BKPs start asking about a custom wind or different magnet combo.  Trust me on this, there is a stock BKP to satisfy just about any palette :)
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)

Yea, that would be alot like a MM
I just wanted the organic sound of the NB, but with more power and tightness.

the MM will do that well, or if you're set on an AV magnet then a Warpig is a GREAT pickup that i feel doesn't get nearly enough attention on this forum. it is also a lot tighter than a Nailbomb.

AFAIK the Miracle Man is wound with a thinner wire than the Nailbomb and has symmetric coils. The Nailbomb is wound with 43 AWG plain enamel wire and has a healthy offset between the two coils. I don't think the two would sound very similar.

True, and the MM is 45 guage polysol. It also has quite an offset.

You'd have to ask tim what it would be like. I doubt they'd be that close: the wire and wind is different in both.

MM and Painkiller are far from organic tones so stay away from them.

Well the EMG 81 was too hot for me(I like to get most of my gain from my amp/eq), and I also enjoy an organic tone, an extremely saturated tone is not for me. But I would be perfectly happy with a stock BK(if you can really call it stock). Was just throwing out an idea, maybe I should ask tim what a ceramic NB would sound like.
