So I'm heading down to Devon tomorrow morning, as I've got a place on the summer course at the Totnes School of Guitar Making (http://www.totnesschoolofguitarmaking.co.uk) which starts on Monday.

I've been looking forward to this since I had my place confirmed last september. Will post updates and pictures of the build process as and when I can get access to the interweb (or carrier pigeon).

See everyone back here in August :)

Thanks guys.

The course starts on monday, bankholidays don't happen for studenty types (was the same when I was at uni).

I'm probably going to build a 12 string acoustic guitar, or failing that a parlour sized acoustic for fingerpicking :)

The course website has a photo diary so you can check on my progress from time to time :)

Sounds like a good course and i hope you enjoy it and get a lot from it- that price has gotta hurt though. Mind you i have probably spent more than that making mistakes and learning that way

All of my first choices for work experience were taken so I had to go to some little "goth shop" thing.. it was surprisingly not bad seeing as I hate goths. I got free hot chocolates, donuts and I started at 10, finished at 2-3 most days :lol:
