BlackDogs and RebelYells playing Diezel Einstein

Someone asked for clips of the Einstein.

Clip1 is for Channel 1 - using the BlackDog equipped Epiphone Les Paul,  I am stepping through the three modes of Ch1 without changing any settings:
clean/texas/crunch

By the way, I'd rather call them
clean / crunch / kill
as it's got ridiculous amounts  (all gains in these examples were set around 45-55%)

Clip2 is for Channel 2, which is very fluid / creamy as you can hear. Guitar used here is the RebelYells equipped MusicMan Axis.

There are also pics of the Amp here, one is a gut shot. The amateurish placed thick black  cable from the back of the amp to the front is what I put there to make the modes footswitchable.

hmm, hard to say, as they're completely different sound wise, but I guess I'd agree with you  - If one would have to go, I'd keep the Shiva indeed.

Believe it or not, just like having a conversation, or a bit more maybe, but really low, 0.1 Master I'd say. On the Vai clip, the SM57 was also about 20cm away and turned towards the wall, instead of bein close up like on the first clips.

Hahaha, sure man, to everyone his own. It's hard to say.
I got some real good feedback for this Einstein clip (listen past the middle):
www.thegutbusters.com/temp/noquarter.mp3

Somehow I really regret having bought the Einstein, as now I am plugging back and forth between the two and can't decide which I like better. Today Eini, tomorrow Shiva, then Eini ....

They are very different, Shiva is less gainy and has more mids, Diezel has more gain, bass and treble. I like Channel 1 of the Einstein a lot, its 3 modes are all killer. And it seems to cut through better in the band.

Shiva I am much more familiar with and it's easier to dial in.

What I would love to do is crank them both once to really get an idea.

to me.. the Diezel sounds a lot like a solidstate amp.

It's really poopy sounding.. and any amp that costs £2k with microchips inside on a pcb and tube sockets solderd to the pcb..

isnt really worth the cash.. atleast bogner use flywires for all the tube sockets etc..

should look like this inside.

look I know you love your Splawn, but you gotta keep the facts right. Einis tube sockets are not mounted on the PCB, they are chassis mounted, there are a few mm between case and pcb, they are connected with wires. The sound is pure tube, there are no transistors in the signal chain. The price is also not 2K pounds but 1,900 EUR, which is 1,300 GBP.

Sound is subjective, as said I think the Shiva and the Eini are both awesome amps, though very different.

just out of interest, what are the speakers in the cab in the pic with the diezel? They sound great! very tight sound.
